Privacy Policy

Who we are

This policy covers the Snip: Subscription Tracker app for Android (“Snip”, “the app”) and this website. If you have questions, email snipapp.help@gmail.com.

Information stored on your device

To work, Snip saves the following only on your phone:

• The subscriptions you add: names, prices, billing cycles, charge dates, categories, reminder settings and any cancellation links you paste
• Your settings, such as currency and default reminder time
• Your progress on the “Find forgotten subscriptions” checklist
• Whether you have unlocked Snip Pro

This information is never sent to us or to anyone else. We don’t run any servers that receive it, and we can’t see it.

Reminders

Renewal reminders are scheduled by your phone and shown as local notifications. They don’t go through the internet.

Purchases

Snip Pro is sold through Google Play. Google processes the payment, and we never receive your card or payment details. The app asks Google Play whether you own Snip Pro so it can unlock the Pro features. Google’s handling of your purchase is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

Backups and exports

When you tap “Back up my list” or “Export to spreadsheet”, Snip creates a file and opens your phone’s share menu. You choose where it goes, such as Google Drive, email or your files. Snip doesn’t upload it anywhere by itself. Wherever you save or send it, that service’s privacy policy applies.

Links to other services

Some buttons open other websites or apps, such as a company’s cancellation page, your Google Play subscriptions or a Gmail search. Snip only opens them; what happens there is covered by that service’s own privacy policy.

Permissions the app uses

• Notifications: to show your renewal reminders.
• Run at startup: to set your reminders again after your phone restarts.
• Google Play billing: to buy and restore Snip Pro.

What we don’t do

• We don’t collect personal information or create user accounts.
• We don’t use advertising, analytics or tracking tools.
• We don’t sell, rent or share any information.
• We don’t ask for bank, card or email login details.

Deleting your information

You’re always in control. Delete any subscription inside the app, or uninstall Snip to remove everything it stored. Because we keep no copies, there’s nothing else to delete.

Children

Snip is meant for adults managing their own subscriptions and isn’t directed at children under 13.

This website

This website doesn’t use cookies, analytics or tracking. It loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers, which may receive your IP address. The website is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may keep standard server logs.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we’ll post the new version on this page and update the date above.
